CesenaticoCesenatico has always been a maritime, fishing and trade center. Even today, the heart of his life is in the port channel which was designed by Leonardo Da Vinci. The port is famous for the typical restaurants for seafood facing it and where the modern boats of fishing fleet moor. Cesenatico is characterized by a combination of tradition, culture and hospitality. You will certainly appreciate the beauty of the sea and the ancient city center where is the Maritime Museum which offers a collection of antique boats with their sails and hulls, witness of centuries of fishing and maritime trade. The old town run around the port with typical short fishermen houses coloured in pastel; and the “Conserve”, the field where you can visit digged holes which were use in an ancient method of fish preservation with ice or snow. The Moretti House, the home of the famous writer Marino Moretti, bequeathed to the town of Cesenatico, in order to preserve all together with the original furnishings, library and archives with his manuscripts and letters. Cesenatico is also a city of sport and hosts numerous competitions, among which is the most prestigious cycling race: Nove Colli (Nine Hills). The “Nove Colli” is an endurance race within a day with departure and arrival in Cesenatico, throught the Romagna land on the Adriatic Coast. It’s a beloved cycling race, held annually in May with over 12,000 competitors at the start, almost charming and enjoyed by bikers around the world despite it’s forty years of age. |

Cesenatico. Driving along the road SS16 Adriatica, exit at "Cesenatico Viale Trento". Viale Carducci is
